The firm’s principal, John Shanahan has worked long and hard to develop a reputation, both in Tullamore and beyond, as an efficient and knowledgeable accountant. One part of the firm’s service offering is their website which serves not only as the firm’s virtual shop-front, but also a useful resource of business related information.
John wanted to update date the site in terms of style and functionality and ensure that it would be compatible with today’s mobile devices, but he wanted to do so without compromising the image of professionalism associated with the firm. Obviously for an accountancy firm this was of paramount importance. John also wanted to retain the ability to continue serving the copious amounts of relevant information that had become such a feature of the site, but to improve the ability to navigate to whatever is needed.
The challenge then, was to create a design that incorporated up-to-date cross-media branding, consistent with the firm’s printed material, and a clean professional look with easy, intuitive navigation (including a comprehensive site search facility) and to ensure that all this worked seamlessly across both desktop and mobile devices.
The newly developed site features updated branding, a fresh and clean look and is easy to navigate, either by menu or through using the site search facility. The top-level horizontal navigation is mirrored by a fully expanded side-bar menu of whichever is the current category. This makes navigation to other articles on related topics very quick and easy.
